Our research has shown that the onset of visual impairment often results in loss of social contact and we are continually asked for help with this problem.

Monthly and annual social gatherings are organised by the Society to bring visually impaired people together providing the opportunity for social interaction whilst enjoying refreshments and being entertained.

2nd Tuesday of the Month at Walshaw Sports Club
On the 2nd Tuesday of every month we hold an afternoon event at the Walshaw Sports Club, Sycamore Road, Walshaw from 2:30 to 4:30pm. Any blind or partially sighted person is very welcome to attend the socials and to bring along a friend but please contact us first so that we can arrange transport for you.

4th Tuesday of the Month at Grundy Day Centre
Each 4th Tuesday of the month, between 7:30 and 9:30pm we hold a social evening at the Grundy Day Centre, Wellington Road, Bury. Any blind or partially sighted person is very welcome to attend the socials and to bring along a friend, but please contact us first so that we can arrange transport for you.
