Monday:
First Monday of the Month: CAB Support Clinic with Mia, 10.00am-12.30pm. Contact the office to book appointment.
Every Monday Morning: 10.30am-12.00pm: Morning Drop-In: You are welcome to drop in during this time for a cuppa. Volunteers are on hand to 'Meet and Greet' you during this period.
Every Monday Afternoon: 1.15pm-2.30pm: Musical Fun Afternoon: Every week apart from on the fourth Monday every month. Meeting at the Centre.
Every Monday Evening: 6pm - 8.30pm Showdown Training Session: Louise will be providing hints and training tips for you 'Showdowners' to try.
Fourth Monday every Month: 1.30pm-3.00pm: Musical Social Afternoon: £3.00 includes entertainment and refreshments. To book please contact the Centre.
Tuesday:
Pheonix Foot Clinic, every Tuesday from 9.30am-3.00pm: Appointment only. Contact the office to book.
The Centre is available for external room bookings and appointments: Specialist courses are held on this day.
Ten Pin Bowling Group: 11.00am-12.00pm: Meeting at Hollywood Bowl in Bury. Please let us know in advance if you are unable to make it as it will still cost us for your spot if we are not informed.
Walking Group: Join the Community Health Walk 1.30pm at The Burrs. Ring the office to booked sighted guide. Currently not running, will resume as the weather improves.
Wednesday:
Every Wednesday Morning: 10.30am-12.00pm: Morning Drop In: Wednesday morning drop in. With the first Wednesday of
every month dedicated to refresher sight guiding training.
Every Wednesday: 10.30am - 11.45am Breakfast Club: Charges vary depending on the breakfast on offer, check with the centre what is this weeks breakfast/cost.
First Wednesday of the Month: Morning: 1.30pm-3.00pm: New additional Macular Support Group.
Second Wednesday of the Month: Morning: 10.30am-12.00pm: Our User Forum and Volunteers Forums are held, alternate months. (Jan 2026 will be the Volunteer Forum and alternate each month).
Third Wednesday: 1.30pm-3.00pm: The monthly Macular Support Group: Meeting in the large area of the lounge. Contact the centre to add yourself to the group.
Fourth Wednesday: 1.30pm-2.30pm: Glaucoma Support Group: Meeting in the large area of the lounge. All welcome.
Thursday:
Thursday Morning: 10.30am-12.00pm: Morning Drop In - which includes our weekly Crossword group. Word wizards, clue-crackers and people who enjoy confidently writing the wrong answers welcome.
Every Thursday Afternoon: 1.30pm-3.00pm: Thursday Afternoon Cluster: Tea and chat group. Quiz every second Thursday. Third Thursday, Bingo. For details, contact the office.
Every Thursday: 6.00pm - 8.30pm Showdown: New to Showdown? Perfect! Come along, pick up the basics, and learn from our experienced players. It’s fun, fast, and open to everyone—give it a go!
Friday:
Tech Support Clinic every fortnight with Henshaws, 9.15am-4.00pm: For referral, contact the office.
Every Friday: 11.30am-2.00pm: Friday Lunch: The main lounge area is taken over with our 'Lunch Brunch'. Carole and Mags provide either a cooked meal or light snack each week. Saturday:
Every Third Saturday: 11.00am-12.30pm: Bury Blind Society Book Club: Accessible book club. Please contact the office to confirm your attendance so that we have the right number of talking books for everyone.
